New-look website and free CD to keep kids entertained during the holiday

With over a thousand hours to fill before the end of the summer holiday, Sing Up, the national singing programme, has launched a new-look family section on their website to keep children entertained throughout the holidays.

Along with all the fun online, people who log-on to the website can request a free CD-ROM with songs that kids can sing-a-long to in the car and play on their computer along with activity sheets and inspiring articles about singing!

In this special feature, we share some of the highlights of the fantastic Sing Up website, where you will find many resources, all promoting the power of song.

Sing Up is the national singing programme which launched in 2007 and aims to make singing an everyday activity in children’s lives. At www.singup.org, singing and non-singing teachers and can find free downloadable song lyrics including full, backing and echo tracks, plus lots of information about singing and how Sing Up is helping children all over the country find their voice.  Sing Up also provides training to teachers, distributes a termly magazine to aid singing in the classroom and offer a grant-based funding programme for successful singing projects around the country to expand their work in project delivery.
