Post subject:  Bayard books

I have recently read a selection of books from here

and want to say a big thank you to the bookdude for sending me the books to look through.

I was very impressed. The first book I looked through was the Discovery box for age 9-12 yr The format is excellent and pulls the child gently in to it! Adam was hooked straight away and he learned loads from the first few pages, The history section was about Neanderthal people, there were lists of facts, a story in comic form and a dot to dot, there was also a quiz at the end. This wee book is crammed full of interesting things, quizzes, recipes and puzzles. Within the book you have subjects of History, science, animals, sport and the world in general. The photography in the animals section was stunning :D

The Adventure box and the Story box books were equally as good for younger children, Sam's Duck was a great story about animal welfare, and kept the children interested from begining to end, and again this book has puzzles and a comic strip story. The book for younger children also had a story CD and when it was finished the girls asked for it on again!

Take a look at them :D http://www.bayard-magazines.co.uk/gammebox/index.jsp

Adam gets National Geographic magazine every month but I think I prefer this book
